Walsh Advisors was originally formed in 2001 by the husband and wife team of Tim and Cyndi Walsh who used their combined investment experience to formally assist their friends and family.  Their commitment to service helped to transform the firm over the past 20 years to a full service investment advisory firm.  The firm is currently operated by Cyndi who services as President and her associate Owen Rush.

Cyndi draws on a deep and varied career in the financial industry.  Her career has taken her on a dual path of both individual and corporate investment and risk management.  Early in her career she served as Vice President of Foreign Currency Trading at Bank of America. In addition to trading, she also developed and implemented strategic capital markets risk management programs for multi-national corporations.  She spent many years as Managing Partner of National Bond and Trust, a national financial benefits provider, where Cyndi developed and implemented a national investment program for individual investors.  It was during that program development that Cyndi realized her passion for helping individual investors.  She has committed the rest of her career to broadening her service through Walsh Advisors.

Cyndi first became an investor at the age of 17 when she first participated in the 401K program at McDonald's Corporation.  After earning her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology from Purdue University, her passion for investing compelled her to attend the University of Chicago where she earned an MBA in Finance.  Cyndi’s pursuit of knowledge continues as she recently completed her Doctorate degree at DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business with a Finance specialty.

As a seasoned fiduciary Cyndi has lended her investment expertise to service in various trustee roles including the Indiana Bond Bank, Indiana Public Employee Retirement Pension Fund and the Indiana State Teachers’ Retirement Pension Fund.  She has also served as a board member of the Indiana Education Savings Authority. These roles have also provided her invaluable portfolio management expertise.

Owen began his wealth management journey at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) where he graduated with a double major in Finance and Economics. While at GVSU Owen was a member of the Men’s Golf Team and participated in the 2019 National Golf Championship. His experiences as a student athlete shaped his approach to wealth management, as he learned the importance of patience, humility, and integrity. Owen broadened his knowledge through multiple industry internships and is an avid market researcher. His early interest in wealth management quickly transformed into a passion as he saw first-hand the difference that long-lasting and trustworthy relationships can make. Owen believes the client-advisor relationship should be in that exact order, putting the client first at all times which attracted him to the Walsh Advisors business model. Owen believes in the value of bringing multiple perspectives into his relationships and makes up for his youth by utilizing his impressive network. Owen’s mission is to couple active investment management with long-term holistic planning to help his clients reach their goals.
