Walsh Advisors was founded in 2001 by the husband-and-wife team of Tim and Cyndi Walsh. Drawing on their extensive institutional investment experience, they initially began helping friends and family navigate important financial decisions. Their commitment to thoughtful advice, personal service, and long-term relationships steadily grew the firm over the next two decades into a full-service investment advisory practice.
In January 2026, Cyndi Walsh transitioned leadership of the firm to her successor, Owen Rush, continuing the firm’s tradition of independent advice and client-first service.
Owen began his wealth management career at Grand Valley State University, where he earned a double major in Finance and Economics. While at GVSU, he was a member of the Men’s Golf Team and competed in the 2019 National Golf Championship. His experience as a student-athlete helped shape the principles that guide his work today—discipline, patience, humility, and integrity.
Through multiple industry internships and years of mentorship from Cyndi Walsh, Owen developed a strong foundation in investment analysis and wealth management. What began as an academic interest quickly became a passion as he saw firsthand the impact that trusted, long-term advisor relationships can have on clients and their families.
Owen believes the client-advisor relationship should exist in that order—placing the client’s interests first at all times. That philosophy drew him to the Walsh Advisors approach and continues to guide the firm’s work today. By combining active investment management with thoughtful, long-term financial planning, Owen seeks to help clients pursue their goals with clarity, confidence, and discipline.
